Hi Martin, is all your work put through Photoshop post production?

Not all my pictures use effects from Photoshop, recently (Last
couple of months) I have been using Photoshop a lot to enhance my
pictures, its really for my own personal taste, the models seem very
please with my "straight" pictures, I don`t think many have seen
  the "Photoshoped" ones.
Do you consider yourself a better photographer or digital artist?

Ohh... probably a better photographer, I have been doing
photography for about 20 years, I have only just brushed the surface
of digital art, I can see myself composing pictures and posing models
in the future in a different way because I have a digital composite in
the back of my head that I am thinking of.
How did you start off being a photographer?

I went to college to study photography, when I left I became a

photographic assistant at a big studio in London, it was ideal as I

worked with many great photographers of the time who used to

shoot glamour, fashion and editorial photography from all over the

world, a great way to learn and I got to travel around the world!

What are the glamour and commercial market like in UK?

The market here is fairly good, I am selling a lot of pictures to

glamour calendars at the moment, it must be the season, the people
who want my pictures are finding me via my website. I have not
made one phone call, nor do I have an agent doing any selling for
me. I do other commercial work though like nation heritage projects.
Any advice you can pass on to new photographers?

The best advice I can give is look for the models best features, be it
the eyes, breasts , legs or backside, and flatter her best features
with the camera, try and hide the bad features, the model will love
  you for it!

I know you like to pass on your experience with new models, does it
    work the other way too?

Most of the models come to me knowing and teaching me little
tricks, which I pass on to new models not in the know!. Most young
women have secret tricks to make themselves more beautiful and
attractive, I am learning new ones all the time!.
Do you think that Photoshop is the models best friend?

Photoshop can help a model lose a few spot or wrinkles, give her
larger breasts, perfect skin or longer legs, but the model has to be
confident about her body in the first place to look good in front of the
camera. I would much rather photograph a girl that did not need lots
  of work in photoshop.
